CAD/CAM/CAE CAD Siemens PLM Solid Edge

Siemens PLM offers Synchronous Technology as a stand-alone demo.

If you’ve ever wanted to try out Siemens PLM’s push-pull modeling environment, Sychronous Technology, but free of the traditional parametric functionality of Solid Edge or NX proper, the company recently released a stand-alone implementation called 3DSync. Best part is, it’s offered as a free application…that is, until May 15, 2013.

Just as in the Solid Edge ST and NX, Siemens synchronous technology lets 3DSync users manipulate models directly without the burden of a complex and sometimes fragile feature tree. In addition, the application includes ST’s Live Rules and 3D driving dimensions which allow for precisely controlled edits, while configurable dimension and geometric constraints accommodate future edits.

3DSync supports ACIS, IGES, JT, Parasolid and has built-in data translators to import, edit and export native Autodesk Inventor, NX, PTC, Solid Edge, SDRC, SolidWorks file formats. Additionally, 3DSync supports Catia V4 and Catia V5 with an additional purchase.
