AAER ships first wind turbine from Quebec plant

AAER Inc., Canada’s only original equipment manufacturer of windturbines of 1 megawatt (“MW”), announced that ithas shipped the first turbine constructed at its facility in Bromont,Quebec. The 1.5 MW A-1500 turbine was sold to the U.S. Marine CorpLogistics Base in Barstow, California in May 2008. “We arevery pleased to have reached this significant milestone in ourcompany’s development

“This is the first of four turbines that will be delivered to customers in theUnited States in early 2009, as we begin large-scale turbine productionat its Bromont, Quebec facility,” said Dave Gagnon, Presidentand Chief Executive Officer of AAER. “We expect to build andenhance our international profile by delivering additional turbines tocustomers in the U.S., Canada and Europe throughout 2009, as wecontinue to increase our production capacity.”

At the time of the turbine sale, AAER also signed a warranty, maintenanceand service agreement (“WMSA”) with ACCOEngineering Services, for the implementation of the project. The WMSAwill be assigned to the Marine Corps Logistics Base aftercommissioning. The A-1500 wind turbine will supply a portion of theenergy used by the base facilities and will be commissioned in thecoming weeks, dependent upon suitable local weather conditions.
