Quebec-based engineering services company's PUT US TO THE TEST contest offering $25,000 worth of 3D engineering work to winning project entry.

If you have a crazy cool 3D projects that’s just too big and/or difficult to pull off yourself, 3D scanner maker and engineering services company Creaform may just be able to make your vision a reality.

The Québec City-based company is currently looking for entries for its PUT US TO THE TEST! 2013 Challenge that encourages students and public/private businesses to submit an idea, presumably, the more challenging the better. The winner receives up to $25,000 worth of the company’s design services.

To qualify, the project should require one or more of Creaform’s services including 3D scanning, long-range scanning, dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, product design and FEA/CFD analysis.

Last year, the Australian Institute of Sports won the challenge and received Creaform’s help in designing a kayak “layout” that was custom-fitted to Olympic athlete Jessica Fox, who took the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Games in London.
