Intellijoint Surgical, a Canadian innovator in developing low cost, smart tools to enhance joint replacement surgery, announced today that it will be presenting its flagship product, intellijoint HIP, at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in Las Vegas March 25-27.

Having operated in stealth mode for 4 years, the Company will be demonstrating intellijoint HIP from within the First Time Exhibitors section in Hall A.

intellijoint HIP is an FDA cleared and Health Canada licensed miniature smart tool, in limited release with selected surgeons in hospitals in Toronto, Waterloo, Chicago, Anaheim and New York City.

Already used in over 200 hip replacement surgeries, the new instrument is proven to be safe, effective, accurate, and adds only minutes to surgery. It allows the surgeon, intraoperatively, to accurately control the key measurements required for selecting and positioning an implant, and accurately setting a patient’s leg length and offset equivalency.

“We’re excited about the growing interest from top surgeons,” said Armen Bakirtzian, CEO of Intellijoint.

“AAOS 2015 Annual Meeting is an ideal venue for us to introduce intellijoint HIP™, and also for advancing our partner discussions with implant companies and independent sales agents.”
