72 MW production line to begin shipments of UL certified modules by October.

Toronto, ON — Magnum Pv announced it will begin production of its high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) modules this October at its 142,000-sq.-ft. facility in Brampton, Ontario. The company manufactures monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV modules in 245, 250, 290 and 300 watt models.

The company says the first modules with UL/CSA certification will roll off of the Magnum Pv line — developed by German solar technology firm Schmid Technology Systems GmbH — as early as mid-October. At the heart of the system is a fully-automated tabber stringer featuring high-precision contactless resistance soldering which reduces long-term cell degradation due to thermal microfractures.

The company says it is securing orders of its initial production runs. In addition to solar PV modules, Magnum Pv will offer complete turnkey solutions including project planning, financing, development, installation and commissioning.
