MDA secures $8 million ground station contract

Richmond, BC — MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed a contract in excess of CAD$8 million with a confidential customer to provide a multi-satellite ground station solution.

Under this contract, MDA will develop, integrate and install the solution at the customer’s site in the first quarter of 2012. The solution will be capable of programming, receiving and processing imagery and data.
