Maxon introduces "quiet" upgrades to its DCX motor and GPX gearhead series.

Maxon Motor has expanded its DCX series with two new DC motors. In addition to the maxon DCX 10L, a shorter version is now also available, the DCX 10S, which exceeds the 1 mNm threshold during continuous use. It has mechanical output power of up to 1.4W in a 10mm diameter, with a low noise generation of 35 dBA. The DCX 22L is a longer version of the DCX 22S, with a diameter of 22 mm. It features the same power of the maxon RE 25 but with 30 percent less volume and weight.

In addition, the company’s GPX 22 gearhead is now also available in a version with reduced noise level and with ceramic axes. The GPX 22C is an optimized version of the GPX 22 that provides approximately 20 percent higher torques. The GPX 22LN has plastic planet gears in the input stage that reduce operating noise by approximately 5 dBA.
