Baldor Electric Company introduces the new Dodge Disc coupling, designed for pumping applications in the oil and gas industry. The product meets the American Petroleum Institute (API) 610 specification. The coupling also utilizes the newest generation of disc geometry, minimizing disc stress during operation and boosting misalignment capabilities and torque ratings, the company says.
According to the company, the disc coupling doesn’t require periodic lubrication since they do not have relative movement between mating surfaces. In addition, the coupling offers a large hub option that increases the max bore capability in applications where the coupling size is driven by the shaft diameter instead of the torque requirement.
