Motion Control motor Nippon Pulse America

Nippon Pulse America’s 4mm servomotor runs in vacuum and underwater.

Nippon Pulse America introduced their smallest linear servomotor — the 4mm Linear Shaft Motor. The motor’s small forcer size (10mm x 10mm) and a total weight of 9 grams with strokes as long as 40mm make it suitable replacement in piezo-type applications.

The shaft motor is quiet due to the absence of friction since the only mechanical contact section is the linear guide and its coreless construction eliminates cogging. The motor also offers high motor stiffness and high precision with a resolution of 0.09 nanometers.

The company says durable construction makes it possible to operate the Linear Shaft Motor in harsh conditions, including a vacuum and underwater.
