Baldor Electric Company unveiled its Above NEMA Vertical P-Base motor platform. The Totally Enclosed, Fan Cooled (TEFC) G-series is available in a power range of 200 to 900hp, in frame sizes 5010 to 5012 at a variety of voltage ratings including 460, 2300, 4160, or 6600.
The G-series features a grease-lubricated ball bearing on the drive end with a thrust bearing on the upper (non-drive end) as standard. Optional features include oil lubrication and different bearing arrangements, as well as IEEE841 up to 500hp, API541 and API547 above 500hp. A non-reversing ratchet used to control motor backspin upon de-energization can protect the entire pumping system.
