Pinch Valves

Festo introduced its VZQA series pinch valves with full bore passage. Full bore passage minimizes flow resistance and provides support for hygienic process sequences and cleaning cycles. VZQA pinch valves come in two versions: A normally open (N/O) version for media pressures from 0 to 4 bar and a normally closed (N/C) version for 0 to 6 bar media pressures. The N/C version includes an integrated actuator, while the aluminum N/C variant offers ring positioning via a ring magnet in the piston. The components of the VZQA are individually configurable, whether it’s connection types, materials or pinch valve sleeves. The sealing cartridge can be replaced without special tools, but depending on the application, may only become necessary after approximately one million switching cycles, the company says.
