Dart Controls, Inc. introduced its MD Plus Series of process controllers, which feature an integrated closed-loop DC motor drive, process controller and local operator station all in one. Available in panel and stand alone NEMA 4/4X versions, the auto-sensing dual voltage source (120/240VAC, 50/60Hz) design will support up to 2HP DCPM motors typically used in process pump chemical feed applications.
Interface with SCADA systems is via 4-20mA in and out as well as serial communications. Configuration allows for alarm outputs of drive and process conditions. The display may be configured for direct units of measure. Preventative maintenance is supported by hours of (pump) operation accumulated in the drive.
