NI CompactRIO controller integrates Intel Atom processor and Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA technology for improved performance and system integration.

14-august-NI-controller-625National Instruments announced the CompactRIO performance controller that integrates an Intel Atom processor and Kintex-7 FPGA. Supported by LabVIEW 2014 and NI Linux Real-Time, the controller is designed for advanced control and applications in harsh, industrial environments and provides high-performance processing, custom timing and triggering, and data transfer from modular C Series I/O. The controller also features an embedded UI for a local HMI device and improved vision integration. Users can add USB3 or GigE Vision cameras using NI Linux Real-Time and use NI’s Vision IP to turn the FPGA into a vision coprocessor.
