Solegear Bioplastic Technologies Inc., in partnership with Columbia Plastics Ltd., has received an initial purchase order from TOPS Products Canada, a distributor of office supplies, for 5,800 units of Starmark branded desk organizer and accessory products that will be distributed through TOPS' commercial channel to businesses across Canada.

“We are very pleased that the recent partnership with Columbia Plastics and TOPS Products Canada is already creating tangible business results for Solegear and our valuable partners,” said Paul Antoniadis, CEO of Solegear.

“This order gives us further confidence in the growing demand from Canadian businesses to equip their offices with more renewable materials and sustainably-focused products that support employee values as well as the bottom line.”

The Starmark Clip-Mate, Memo-Mate, File-Mate, Pencil-Mate, Self-Stacker and Desk Tray will be available through commercial catalogues as early as December 2015.

These products will be produced exclusively using Solegear’s Polysole LV1250 bioplastic, which includes 85% plant-based content, contains no hazardous chemicals or additives, and is fully recyclable and compostable in industrial facilities.
