The Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec develops new employment portal

Montréal – Quebec’s professional engineering organization, the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), has launched a web portal – emplois.oiq.qc.ca – to be used exclusively for posting specialized engineering positions to recruit from the OIQ’s pool of 60,000 qualified members.
Integrated into the existing OIQ website, the employment portal will serve as an intermediary between employers and engineers.
“With the current shortage of engineering resources, it is becoming ever more important for companies to quickly find the right candidates for critical positions,” said OIQ president Maud Cohen. The portal is part of a larger project aimed at managing the professional development of both OIQ employees and Québec engineers.
