ABB to acquire Baldor Electric

Zurich, Switzerland, and Fort Smith, Arkansas, Nov. 30, 2010 – In an all-cash transaction valued at approximately US$4.2 billion, including US$1.1 billion of net debt, ABB, a global power and automation technology group, and Baldor Electric Company, a North American manufacturer of industrial motors, have agreed that ABB will acquire Baldor.
