Adept Quattro s650HS robot and ACE PackXpert reduce integration costs and deployment times

Adept Technology, Inc. showcased its new USDA-accepted robot for high speed food handling, the Adept Quattro s650HS, at Pack Expo 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Quattro s650HS is the only USDA-Accepted parallel robot available for applications such as meat and poultry processing, the company says. The Quattro differs from conventional parallel robots in that it features a four-arm kinematic, a design that enables higher speeds, faster accelerations, and exceptional performance across the entire work envelope.

Adept also demonstrated its advanced packaging management software, ACE PackXpert. The software is built on Adept’s integrated automation control environment, Adept ACE. Designed for packaging applications, the all-in-one ACE PackXpert software features a graphical interface and 3D workspace display for visualizing the system operation. This software enables users to coordinate the efforts of an entire line of robots by working across multiple controllers. The program was designed for novice users with no programming required in bringing an application online, while permitting users with V+ programming expertise to leverage their existing library of V+ functionality.
