Autodesk to acquire Delcam

Autodesk, Inc. announced its intention to acquire Delcam for approximately US$276 million, structured as a cash offer for all the outstanding shares of the CAM software maker. The company says the deal is expected to close in Autodesk’s first quarter of fiscal 2015.
Headquartered in Birmingham, UK, Delcam is a leading supplier of advanced CAM and industrial measurement solutions for the manufacturing industry, with more than 30 offices worldwide, approximately 600 employees, reported revenues for its fiscal 2012 of £47.1 million.
This latest planned acquisition follows on from Autodesk purchase of CAM software developer HSMWorks in October 2012.
