General DPNIronHorse GSD1 series DC drives from AutomationDirect are said to be high-performance Pulse-Width-Modulated (PWM) controllers for 12 to 48 V equipment providing smooth control with high-efficiency operation.
Suitable for applications such as auger feeders, automated door actuators, commercial cooking equipment, food production, industrial pumping systems and more, the design permits a substantial increase in equipment running time between charges over conventional techniques, the company says.
GSD1 series DC drives are available in 10 A (1/8 to 1/2 hp motor rating) and 20 A (1/4 to 1 hp motor rating) versions. New models available include 48 V powered units.
Additional features include adjustable maximum speed, minimum speed, current limit, I.R. compensation, and acceleration. The adjustable current-limit feature protects the control, battery, and motor from sustained overloads.
Units are available in open-frame and NEMA 4X enclosed styles, and all come with a speed pot, knob and dial plate; optional accessories including a replacement speed potentiometer kit and digital speed potentiometer are also available.
The DC drives are RoHS compliant and are backed with a one-year warranty.
