Montreal-based flight training firm's deals total $110 million.

13-aug-CAE-simulator-360MONTREAL — Flight training and simulator company CAE Inc. says it has signed $110 million worth of contracts with several international defence customers, including the German and New Zealand air forces.

The Montreal-based company said it will provide a ground-based flight training system for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and upgrade the simulators used by the German Air Force.

CAE will also provide a full-mission simulator to Korea Aerospace Industries, which is developing an advanced jet trainer and ground based flight training system for Iraq. The fourth contract is for a boom operator weapon systems trainer for an undisclosed international customer.

The company said the contracts fit with its plan to pursue long-term clients, and show that defence and security forces around the world continue to recognize the importance of simulation-based training.
