I am presently using my home built CNC router with PlanetCNC software and controller board. I give PlanetCNC my Gerber files which are generated by Diptrace. I would probably STILL use my system to drill the holes, as that in itself, can be very time consuming and difficult. I think just the photosensitive copper would be fun to try with my own printer. Keep it up! Mike

Neat! I am presently using my home built CNC router with PlanetCNC software and controller board. It’s a problem that in 2017, caused the death of 12 North Atlantic right whales, an endangered species that live primarily off the Eastern coast of Canada. Ghost gear—various nets, traps, and rope that are lost from fishing vessels—make up for a large chunk of marine animal entanglement. Add in the amount of plastic that animals choke on and that number skyrockets. It’s here, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that Ashored Innovations is quietly working away on a solution. Carbon Engineering isn't claiming, and the article isn't suggesting, that the company's process creates more energy than it consumes, thereby violating the laws of thermodynamics. Instead, they are claiming that the process captures more CO2 from the air than it emits in powering the system, whether the fuel used is of its own creation, natural gas or wind/solar/etc. Further, the company says its process is significantly cheaper than other competing negative emission technologies, which typically cost a prohibitive ~$600 per tonne. It seems the company is looking to scale up their test platform with the intent of commercializing a carbon neutral fuel. In this respect, they hope to re-capture atmospheric CO2 and thereby help hold present CO2 levels steady while displacing traditional fossil fuels that introduce new CO2 into the air.

Hi Gary.
