By Design Engineering Staff
CAD/CAM/CAE CAD Dassault Systemes iPadiPad CAD app allows mobile view and review of Solidworks parts, assemblies as well as DraftSight, eDrawing and DWG files.
Following the trend toward pushing CAD-like applications onto mobile devices, Dassault Systemes launched its formerly desktop only eDrawings application for the iPad. Like its counterpart, eDrawings for iPad allows viewing and review of eDrawings and DraftSight files, as well as SolidWorks parts, assemblies and drawings files. In addition, the app will also open DWG and DXF files
Similar to other iDevice applications, multi-touch gestures let users pan, zoom, and rotate models. eDrawings for iPad also supports configurations, drawing sheets, and exploded views for eDrawings files published from SolidWorks and all other supported CAD software. User can access and open files from email, iTunes File Sharing or over a network.
