Aventics has announced new Fieldbus protocols for its CL03 valves.

The pneumatic directional control valves were specifically designed to handle high pressure wash-down applications. The valve manifolds are available with multi-pin electrical connections or fieldbus.

The fieldbus protocols for CL03 have just been expanded to include Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, ProfiNet and CC-Link  These protocols are added to the existing list of: CANopen, DeviceNet and ProfiBus.

With CL03, there is no need to mount the valves in a cabinet – the high flow Clean Line valves have an IP69K (better than NEMA 6P) protection class rating.

By mounting the valve closer to the actuators, machine performance is improved and energy is saved. The hygienic design allows for easy cleaning due to no pockets for particles to collect – and the valve can withstand up to 1450 psi washdown.

The fibre-reinforced polyamide material can withstand the same detergents and aggressive chemicals used to washdown stainless steel equipment.

The standard manifold valves offer flows to 0.85 Cv, and the high-flow manifold versions offer flows up to 1.1 Cv.

Both versions can be combined on the same manifold. An inline CL03-EV valve has a flow rating of 0.7 Cv. CL03 valve manifolds can be designed easily with our online configurator, which develops a part number for the factory assembled manifold, and offers 2D and 3D cad, a schematic and a bill of materials immediately.
