Internet of Things redefining and refining how designers use data

At the Siemens PLM Software 2014 Analyst Event in Boston, senior VP Mainstream Engineering Karsten Newbury spoke with DPN about how the "Internet of Things" is part of a natural evolution in manufacturing.

He also explained that as a manufacturer itself, Siemens is in a unique and motivated position to develop software design and collaboration tools that address customer pain points since the company is also an application user. Finally, he made note of the features and acceptance of Solid Edge ST7 that was introduced earlier this year.
