JMP Engineering changes name to JMP Solutions

Automation firm says new moniker better reflects firm’s expanding role.

London, Ontario-based JMP Engineering announced that it will change its name to JMP Solutions to reflect its expanding services and coverage area as a leading industrial technology partner.

“Demand for industrial automation has been rapidly increasing across North America and customers are looking to take advantage of even more of what technology has to offer,” said JMP President and CEO, Scott Shawyer. “Not only do they want specialized control systems, they also want to leverage leading edge robotic technology and the potential benefits that the Industrial Internet of Things can provide. JMP Solutions is on the leading edge of this economic opportunity.”

With 14 business units in the U.S. and Canada, JMP Solutions’ specializes in six core application areas, including process automation; control system integration; information systems; automation and robotic systems; automated guided vehicles; and networking and security. Over its 30-year history, the company says it has completed more than 20,000 projects for customers in the automotive, chemical, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, oil and gas, pulp and paper, transportation and water/wastewater industries.
