UNIVERSITY PARK, IL – Mead Fluid Dynamics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bimba Manufacturing, has announced the launch of the Manifold PowerStrip (MPS), said to be a simple, cost-effective solution for wiring manifold valve stacks.

The MPS eliminates individual valve wiring and costly molded cable sets by consolidating wiring to a single home-run cable. Because the MPS uses the existing DIN style solenoid connection, there is no need to specify special connector options. In addition to providing a consolidated wiring solution, the MPS offers integrated surge suppression, indicator LED’s and IP65 ingress protection – common features that industrial applications demand.

The nonmetallic enclosure is ultrasonically welded to eliminate unnecessary points of ingress. “We wanted to leverage our experience in ultrasonic welding, developed in conjunction with the Isonic valve lines, to produce a cost-effective alternative that offers superior performance to individual DIN connectors,” said Taylor Phillip, application engineer with Mead Fluid Dynamics (MFD).

“The Manifold PowerStrip is a unique solution in the simple manifold valve market that leverages the quality track record of MFD products and complements the performance of Mead’s Isonic® valve offering,” said Tom Kane, general manager, Mead Fluid Dynamics.
