Overcome SolidWorks’ patterning tool limitations

The Patterning Tool in SolidWorks is extremely useful, but it has its limitations. In this tutorial, Hawk Ridge System’s applications engineer, Rhyc Sandberg, shows how to overcome many of those limitations using special techniques. Here is one to create a linear pattern based on spacing between closest edges – regardless of size changes of the feature that is patterned.
