POSITAL encoder plant embraces the Internet of Things

Opened in 2007, the Slubice plant and its encoder product assembly staff rely on cloud servers – production that embraces the Internet of Things – to receive customer configurations, deliver assembly instructions, collect test data and store customer product details for future easy reference.

The facility is tailored to produce small lot sizes in a wide range of configurations, meeting customer needs for mass customization of highly engineered products.

Leeser explained that the plant is structured to be duplicated in other locations around world as product demand increases.
