Wax 3D printer designed for jewelry manufacturing includes high resolution mode.

3D Systems announced the availability of the ProJet MJP 2500W Plus, designed to produce complex, high-resolution, pure wax 3D-printed jewelry patterns. The 3D printer includes a ZHD print mode that doubles vertical resolution (1200 x 1200 x 3200 DPI) of its XHD mode, in layer thickness of 8µm. It also doesn’t increase in wax material consumption and reduces the need for manual polishing of final parts, the company says. With a build space of 294 x 211 x 144mm (W x D x H), the ProJet MJP 2500W Plus 3D prints in VisiJet 100% wax materials to print true-to-CAD. VisiJet wax melts like standard casting waxes, with zero ash content for defect-free castings, the company says, and contains high contrast colors allow for fine detail visualization.
