HARTING introducing new surface mount housings and covers to its Han-Eco connector series. The surface mount housings will be available in the four sizes and with one or two cable inlets. The appropriate M32 cable fittings for sizes 6B and 10B and M40 for sizes 16B and 24B are supplied along with the surface mount housings.

Han-Eco housings are made from fiber-glass reinforced plastic which provides IP 65 protection when the connector is closed and locked. It also meets the flammability requirements of UL 94 Class V0. At the same time, the housings are robust, lighter and less expensive than comparable metal housings, the company says. Han-Eco can be configured with a large number of available Han-Modular modules, to carry power, signal or data. In addition, all Han-Eco combinations offer tool-free assembly with the ability to apply the locking levers to either side of the connector, making it easy to configure, repair, and install.
