High resolution, speed cameras

Teledyne DALSA announced its new Falcon2 high performance area scan camera series. The series is comprised of three models: the Falcon2 4M, delivering 4 Megapixels at 168 frames per second; the Falcon2 8M, delivering 8 Megapixels at 90 frames per second, and the Falcon2 12M, delivering 12 Megapixels at 58 frames per second. The 8M and 12M Falcon2 cameras come with selectable aspect ratio. All three models don’t require external heat sinks. In addition, the camera’s come with embedded image processing, including FFC correction and sensor cosmetics enhancement. In addition, all Falcon2 cameras are GenICam compliant and available with a Camera Link interface

The Falcon2 8M camera model will be available in October 2011 and monochrome 4M and 12M models will follow in November 2011. Color versions of the Falcon2 camera series will be available in January 2012.
