Materials igus PlasticThe igus iglide HSD350 material is able to withstand continuous temperatures of 356º F, with temporary exposure to temperatures as high as 410º.
The new iglide HSD350 material from igus offers a low-cost alternative to metallic options for use in steam sterilization and autoclaving. The new iglide HSD350 material is suitable for continuous use in hygienic conditions, even with regular sterilization. The material is able to withstand continuous temperatures of 356º F, with temporary exposure to temperatures as high as 410º. Low moisture absorption and thermal expansion makes the material ideal for use in steam chambers and autoclaves, providing bearings and joints which allow for high levels of sterilization, even in complex, non-separable units.
