Motion Control Machine Building Linear Axis Schunk

SCHUNK short-stroke ELB axis designed for dynamic assembly applications.

14-July-Schunk-axis-625SCHUNK released its ELB linear axis, which combines a linear motor drive with an pre-loaded roller guide. The compact module features repeat accuracy of 0.01mm, maximum acceleration of 100 ms-2, the maximum speed of 4 ms-1 and a maximum driving force of 150 N. The module comes in three stroke versions: 50 mm, 75 mm and 125 mm. As an option, it can be equipped with an incremental stroke measuring system (sine/cosine interface) or with an absolute displacement encoder.

The unit is controlled either by the Bosch Rexroth IndraDrive controller or by the Siemens SINAMICS inverter. As an option, the short-stroke axis can be equipped with a pneumatic load-balancing system or with a holding brake for use as a Z axis.
