Micro-Carbon Reinforced Nylon

Additive Manufacturing 3D printing material

Markforged's Onyx 3D printing material offers the stiffness of a fiber reinforced plastic and a heat deflection temperature of 145°C. Onyx markforged Micro-Carbon Reinforced NylonMarkforged’s new Onyx nylon delivers high-performance, finished parts. This new material designed for 3D printing offers embedded carbon for enhanced performance and strength. The micro-carbon is dispersed throughout for excellent rigidity, dimensional stability, and environmental resistance in parts for rugged use. Onyx parts can be used right off the build plate as they require no post-processing. Onyx delivers a stunning matte black finish with high surface quality. Onyx’s dispersed micro-fiber is fully compatible with Markforged’s suite of continuous carbon, Kevlar, and glass fibers and achieves part strength comparable with metal. With the toughness of nylon, stiffness of a fiber reinforced plastic, and a heat deflection temperature of 145°C, Onyx is suited for all applications that demand a high-performance material.
