Membrane Potentiometers

Novotechnik introduced its LFP Series membrane potentiometers offers a thin profile as well as linearity to ±0.3 percent and life of over 25 million cycles. The LFP Series operates using a screw-style pin attached to an application and runs across the membrane connecting a sensing track to a conductive ink track printed on a substrate through the applied pressure from the pin. As the pin moves across the membrane the resistance monitored at the attached connector plug changes corresponding to the position of the pin. Other advantages are that the LFP Series is hermetically sealed against ingress of liquids and dust to IP67 and operates in temperatures up to 125°C. This component series is available in 10 standard lengths from 50 to 500 mm.
