Motor Soft Starters

Siemens Smart Infrastructure launched its Sirius 3RW50 and Sirius 3RW55 Failsafe, electrical motor soft starters, the latter of which is the first to feature the integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) function. The Sirius 3RW55 Failsafe soft starters are suited for starting and stopping operations of high-power motors with a rated output of 5.5 to 560kW at 400V. All switching operations can be controlled viaits HMI. The Sirius 3RW50 covers a power range from 75 to 315kW at 400V and are designed for standard applications. They are also ATEX- and IECEx-certified and can also be used for applications in potentially explosive areas. All Sirius 3RW5 portfolio soft starters have functions for parameterization, current limitation with motor overload protection and pump start and stop. They are also compliant with IEC, UL and CSA standards.
