Planar Surface Gantry

Festo announced two new offerings to its expanding lines electric automation products. The first is the company’s EXCM planar surface gantry, a ready-to-run handling system with two servo drives and a controller that comes fully assembled. It’s designed for desktop applications such as dispensing, screwing in, bonding, testing as well as simple pick-and-place tasks. Also new is the CMMO-ST closed loop servo controller that can serve as a positioning controller for stepper motors or for managing Festo’s expanded EPCO electric cylinder family. Like the EXCM, the CMMO-ST can be ordered as complete package – drive, motor, controller and cables – with a single part number and configured using any web connection.
