Polymer Plain Bearings

igus announced it iglide M210 and M260 tribological plain bearings that require no lubrication and are almost maintenance-free, the company says. The M210 and M260 offer wall thicknesses of up to 5mm and inner diameters of 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60mm. They are particularly suited to applications with pivoting movements in the medium-load range from 20N/mm2. The bearings can withstand high surface pressures of up to 40MPa, continuous edge loads and temperatures between -100°C and +140°C. The materials in the M210 and M260 variant differ slightly but display different strengths when in interaction with various shafts. For example, the wear results of the M260 variant peaks when combined with shafts made of St37 steel.
