Rotary Encoder

Leine & Linde announced that its PSE and PHE 900 series of rotary encoders are now available with an EtherCAT interface option. Available with either solid- and hollow-shaft, the encoders provide angular position value on its machine while advanced signal processing inside the encoder can also deliver velocity, acceleration, alarms and warnings to the control system. This provides multi-variable feedback for control algorithms with cycle times as short as 31.25 µsec. In addition to the real-time EtherCAT industrial protocol, the series also offers PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CAN Open and Device Net interface options.
