Leine Linde’s bearingless M500 line incorporates inductive scanning technology.

Leine Linde released its M500 line of rotary encoders, bearingless inductive encoders with extended life expectancy, the company says. The M500 models utilize HEIDENHAIN’s inductive scanning technology that makes them resistant to contamination and electrical and magnetic fields. It also extends average encoder lifetimes, the company says, as well as reduces encoder size. The line supports a maximum rotational speed of 6000 rpm and features an operating temperature range from -20 to +100 °C (dependent on version), ingress protection class IP67 (IP69 in the MZI 594 model) and axial shaft play ±3 mm (MZI 594).
