Servo Gripper

SCHUNK released its EGL gripper, featuring on-board power and control electronics. The component is powered by 24 VDC and can communicate by Profibus-DP or CAN-bus.

There is an electric brake, which allows for position maintenance and a pseudo absolute encoder function. The EGL weighs 1.8 kg, but features a stroke of 49mm per jaw and can generate up to 600 N of grip force, which allows it to grip work pieces weighing 3 kg.
