Silicone Masking Tape

MOCAP introduced its flexible X-Treme Tape, a self-bonding silicone rubber masking tape that will stretch wrap to conform to irregular shapes and features no adhesive. The tape protects and masks during plating and conformal coating as well as high-temperature powder coating, as the tape will resist up to 500° F (260° C) and remove easily. In many cases, it can eliminate the requirement for a ‘custom’ mask, the company says. The tape is available in a wide variety of widths, lengths and colors.
