Vibration Sensors

VocalZoom launched a line of IIoT predictive maintenance sensors that measure the vibrations emitted by industrial machinery to prevent mechanical failures. Rather than relying on MEMS, piezoelectric or acoustic technology, the non-contact sensors use a SMLD (self-mixing-laser-diode) technology to measure the velocity, distance and vibrations of a machine. Measuring 15mm x 6mm x 3mm, the sensors fit practically any configuration and geometry and operate at a distance up to 3 meters away from the machine they are monitoring. VocalZoom sensors require no batteries and have fewer moving parts than mechanical devices.
