Motion Control Yaskawa

Yaskawa Sigma-7 line provides nearly doubles the bandwidth of the company’s Sigma-5 servos.

Yaskawa servo amplifiersYaskawa America introduced its Sigma-7 line of rotary, linear and direct drive servos and amplifiers. The line includes 18 Sigma-7 products including rotary servos from 3W to 55kW in output, two direct drive servos and four linear products, including a SigmaTrac option designed for bolt-on, plug-in implementation. Sigma-7 SERVOPACK amplifier interface via EtherCAT, MECHATROLINK or analog connections. The line also includes a SigmaLogic SERVOPACK that sequences motion using the Add On Instructions (AOIs) used by PLCs. Other features include 24-bit encoding, a 20 per cent smaller footprint, dual-axis amplifiers and full compatibility with Sigma-5 servos. The line also includes a package of algorithms that correct machine imperfections, including ripple compensation, anti-resonance and friction model compensation.
