PTC releases CoCreate 17

PTC announced CoCreate 17.0, the next major release of its explicit modeling 3D CAD software. According to the company, version 17 doubles design productivity and model modification speed over the previous version. In addition, 2D sketching is 40 percent faster while time spent creating and editing advanced 3D patterns are 60 percent faster.
CoCreate 17 features more than 560 enhancements including real-time explicit modeling and rendering, context-sensitive mini-toolbars, intelligent 3D dimension, feature recognition on imported models and cross-part and assembly model modification.
In addition, the latest version interoperates with Pro/E to allow high quality import of Pro/ENGINEER parts and assemblies; export of GRANITE-based parts and assemblies; and associativity with Pro/E and exported geometry.
