Pneumatic position monitoring
Bosch Rexroth has expanded the functionality of the pneumatically-driven MS01 controlling and measuring system. The system checks the presence, position, shape, and dimension of test objects during automatic supply and processing of workpieces. The MS01 is equipped with an integrated cleaning pressure function to ensure that the measuring results are accurate despite dirt particles or coolant. The system has an additional connection for a permanent sealing air function.
Electro-pneumatic pressure regulator
The electro-pneumatic ED02 pressure regulator from Bosch Rexroth measures 76 x 60 x 30 mm and is made with two directly-controlled 2/2-way proportional valves with an air flow of 3.5 SCFM. Regulation is controlled by a microprocessor to provide repetitive precision of 0.44 psi with a hysteresis of 0.73 psi. Four regulators can be linked to each other without a base plate. Compressed air supply is possible from both sides, permitting extremely flexible use in a system.
NFPA PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS
The 3MA and 4MA series is the latest in a line of Parker NFPA cylinders spanning 30 years of innovative design. Through an innovative design, the cylinders are said to deliver superior performance resulting from reduced weight, low friction and advanced sealing technology. The cylinders are available in 1-1/8 to 8 in. bore models and are manufactured in Canada to provide a standard 3 day delivery with the capability to offer rush service when required.
The series EPTA Electro-pneumatic transducer from Dwyer Instruments converts an analog input signal to a linearly proportionate pneumatic output by modulating its control valves to regulate branch pressure. All models incorporate two low voltage valves, an integral in-barb filter, an analog 30-psi gauge, an anodized aluminum manifold, and brass barbed fittings. The series offers adjustable span and offset as well as manual override. The unit has no air consumption and is immune to mounting orientation.
PNEUMATIC ACTUATORS FOR VALVE AUTOMATION
Hayward Flow Control Systems has announced a wide range of pneumatic valve actuators and related control options for a diverse range of valve automation applications. Corrosion-resistant pneumatic actuators are available in a variety of air-to-air (double acting) and air-to-spring (fail-safe) ¬º turn spring return models with two and four piston rack & piston or vane designs, depending upon the models. All models are said to offer high torque outputs and come with a manual override, position indicator, and permanent lubrication.

PNEUMATIC ROD LOCKS
Advanced Machine & Engineering Co. has introduced the Amlok RLN, a power-off rod lock. The rod lock’s features include anodized aluminum construction, a heavy-duty clamp system and power-off clamping. The standard seal material is carboxylated nitrile. The unit, which uses dry-filtered air, has a release pressure ranging from a minimum of 60 psi to a maximum of 160 psi. The operating temperature ranges from 10¬∞ to 180¬∞F. Maximum rod tolerance is +0.000 in./-0.002 in.
SENSOR FOR C-SLOT PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS
Balluff has introduced a compact sensor designed for use with C-slot-equipped pneumatic cylinders. The BMF 273 sensor, designed to indicate piston stroke end position, is 25.7 mm long, and fits completely within a standard C-slot. The sensor is secured by a non-stripping screw, while the cable is also equipped to be secured within the C-slot by a custom-designed mini pop-in fastener.

The Pneumatic Division of Parker Hannifin has announced the Dual 4-Way Valve for the Moduflex valves system series. The valve combines two 4-way independently operated valves into one Size 1 valve body. Thee valves can be combined with other dual 3-way or single 4-way valves of either Size l or Size 2 valves, without transition kits, to fit different types of applications. Moduflex Valves are available in 24 Vdc solenoid or air pilot operated versions with a universal manual override.
