General DPN

EAO has announced its Series 44 range of industrial control switches meet the latest RoHS directive restricting the use of hazardous substances in electronic equipment. The plastic and contact materials of the series of 22.5 and 30.5 mm switches are free of potentially toxic cadmium based pigments.

In addition the actuators, front/base adapters and switching elements
of the series are halogen free. Units are protected to IP65 from the
front as standard, or alternatively for additional protection against
extreme environmental conditions, the series can be fitted with a
protective silicon cap for an simple upgrade to IP67.

The series is rated at 500 Vac (10 A) and features screw terminals with
openings to guide a screwdriver. The switching elements feature
gold-plated silver, self-cleaning, double-breaking spring contacts,
which are stackable. The modular Series 44 range includes illuminated
and non-illuminated pushbuttons and indicators, interlocking
pushbuttons, Emergency-stop safety switches, joysticks, potentiometers
and rotary and keylock switches, available with a broad selection of
accessories including protective front rings, protective caps, blind
