Additive Manufacturing: To assist manufacturers get up to speed on additive manufacturing and see its potential, NGen and NRC IRAP have launched an “initial trial” program to help de-risk AM adoption. In short, the program will provide companies with funding to have one of their parts additively manufactured. This presentation will delve into the opportunities AM offers, as well as the details and requirements of the program.

Reverse Engineering with 3D Scanning: Designing after-market automotive parts and/or upgrades requires high-accuracy models of existing parts and assemblies, plus the environment they inhabit. In this presentation, Creaform will demonstrate the speed, accuracy and efficiency with which hand-held 3D scanners capture that real world data.

Hybrid 3D CAD Design: As mechanical engineers increasingly take on roles formerly relegated to industrial and electrical designers, traditional parametric modeling no longer covers the full scope of 3D design tasks required for product development. In this presentation, Designfusion’s Solid Edge experts will demonstrate the latest capabilities of Siemen’s CAD suite including sub-division modeling, ECAD design and CAE simulation.
