Entry-Level Monochrome 3D Printer cheapest to date

Z Corporation unveiled its Zprinter 350, what the company claims is the world’s first automated, monochrome 3D printer that delivers high-end functionality. Among its automation capabilities, the printer features automatic material loading, snap-in binder cartridges, integrated recycling of unused build material and self-monitoring operation.

Of the company’s line of Zprinters, the 350 is slightly slower than its siblings, capable of a 0.8 in/hour (20 mm/hour) vertical build speed. It makes up for it, however, with a generous build space (8 x 10 x 8 in), and a high detail level; the printer resolves details to a 300 x 450 dpi resolution on the x- and y-axes and down to 0.004 inch on the z-axis. The ZPrinter 350 is also relatively inexpensive, with a MSRP of US$25,900.
