Autodesk releases Inventor Fusion Tech Preview 4

Autodesk pushed the fourth version of its Inventor Fusion tech preview to the Autodesk Labs website. Fusion is Autodesk’s forth-coming effort to combine direct and parametric modeling modes within one design application.
New features include the ability to switch smoothly between solids and surfaces as well as enhanced surface data translators with Parasolid, Rhino, IGES and AliasDesign .wire file import capabilities. In addition, the tech preview includes a new simplification wizard that speeds up mesh and solve times.
Available as either a download or a streamed executable, the fourth version of the Fusion technology preview is set to expire on June 1, 2011.
